Public Allies Indianapolis offers the nationally-recognized Public Allies AmeriCorps Apprenticeship program. This 10-month apprenticeship program combines full or part time AmeriCorps service at a local nonprofit organization with intensive personal and professional development.

Do you have a passion to make a difference and the desire to lead? Public Allies is an AmeriCorps program that believes everyone has leadership potential and assets to contribute towards making a difference. We engage young leaders from diverse backgrounds, helping them turn their passions and experiences into a viable career path through our 10-month (September-June) apprenticeship program.
The 10-month program includes:
Full-time/part-time options
- A stipend of $28,000 for a full-time position and a stipend of $20,000 for a part-time position
- Full-time and part-time AmeriCorps apprenticeships in local nonprofits or government agencies where apprentices create, improve, and expand services that address diverse issues such as youth development, education, public health, economic development, and the environment.
- A rigorous leadership development curriculum delivered by community leaders, practitioners, and educators.
