Neighborhood Grant Criteria
Projects submitted for consideration shall adhere to the following criteria:
- All applicants must be, or have a fiscal agent that has, active IRS 501c3 status. INRC is happy to support and connect applicants wanting to connect with a fiscal agent
- Requests must be for a new project or expansion of an existing project (funds cannot be used for operating or ongoing staff costs)
- Projects that require ongoing maintenance should include a detailed plan for regarding its upkeep as part of the application
- Be completed within 12 months from the receipt of grant funds
- Submit documentation of all expenses, a final expense report, and a final evaluation report no later than 13 months from the receipt of grant funds, or 1 month following grant project completion, whichever is sooner
- Provide proper documentation that shows evidence that an eligible expense was paid, including date of payment and vendor information
- Promote neighborhood improvement and beautification
- Have a community benefit/neighborhood support
- Be visible and accessible to all Indianapolis residents
- Projects located within the public right-of-way, are subject to additional review and approval
