Logging In with Community

A team of Public Allies looked at how the COVID-19 pandemic affected neighborhood engagement in Indianapolis. They interviewed neighborhood leaders from around the city, researched solutions to the problems they described, and compiled their findings in a handbook.

The Logging In with Community handbook provides recommendations for how to use both technology and people based solutions to engage neighbors in a physically distanced way. It also discusses how we can continue to use the technology we’ve learned to improve engagement with marginalized groups after the pandemic, and provides resources for where to find help during times of unexpected economic distress.
