Neighbor Power Indy Community Awards
About the Neighbor Power Indy Community Awards Program:
Neighbor Power Indy features a community awards program that recognizes grassroots activities and accomplishments that strengthen our neighborhoods and our city. Awards will be presented in three categories, honoring neighborhood-based organizations and collaborations. Winning organizations in each category will receive a monetary award. Selection will be based on the extent of grassroots leadership, community engagement, partnerships, impact, and if these activities can be replicated.

Neighbor Power Indy Community Awards are designed to recognize neighbor- and neighborhood-led projects. For information about all awardees, please click here.
Eligible applicants must be groups of individuals, associations, or not-for-profit organizations (community development corporations, grassroots organizations) working in partnership with neighborhoods and neighbors.
Award Categories:
- Connecting Community Award. Projects or activities that improve services, cultural aspects, or connections in a neighborhood. Examples include a neighborhood festival, community engagement programs, etc.
- Building Local Economy Award. Projects or activities that improve business diversity or economic aspects of a neighborhood. Examples include a farmer’s market, an eat/shop local initiative, small business support, etc.
- Inspiring Places Award. Projects or activities that improve safety, housing, or beautification aspects of a neighborhood. Examples include neighborhood clean-up efforts, streetscape improvements, gateways, a local mural project, etc.
