Neighborhood Development Specialists

Neighborhood Development Specialists (NDS's) provide technical assistance to meet the specific priorities of neighborhood groups. They also provide organizational assessments and offers customized technical assistance including neighborhood visioning, referrals, project consultation, asset mapping, courageous conversations, coaching and meeting facilitation.

The Neighborhood Development Specialist contributes to meeting INRC’s goals to strengthen, develop, and empower neighborhood organizations by working with neighbors, neighborhood-based groups and community partners to strengthen their ability to organize and identify assets for positive change.

You can see a NDS at a neighborhood meeting- either attending as support or by facilitating, providing a training in the community, visiting one on one with neighbors, attending neighborhood events, and working to provide resources for our Indy neighborhoods.
